Housing Provider Seminar

You are invited to KIFAR's Housing Provider Seminar.  HB2775 was passed on May 24th and will go into effect January 1, 2023. This will change the way you screen tenants for Residential Rentals.  Starting January 1, 2023 you will no longer be allowed to Source Income on rentals. Which means you can not deny someone housing based solely on Section 8 Vouchers. We have put together a program with our legal team from Illinois Realtors, The Kankakee Housing Authority, ECDA and Sheriff Downey to give you all the details.  Sandwiches and water will be available. This is a free event. Share with your clients that are Housing Providers.  Please register by Aug 19th so we know what to order for food.
